1. A Sensitisation cum Public Consultation on Man – Elephant Conflict was organised by the centre at Dergaon, Golaghat district on 10th May, 2008.
2. A state level ENVIS sensitisation workshop was organized by the centre at Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra, Guwahati on 24th June, 2008.
3. A Bhaona (play) was organised by Brahmaputra Rural Association for National Development (BRAND), an NGO, with support and collaboration of ENVIS Assam Centre, ASTE Council, on 27th November, 2008.
4. Two nos. of Review Meetings organised regarding the compilation of an Anglo –Assamese Dictionary on Environmental Terminology on 10th September, 2008 and 10th February, 2009.
5. One day long programme to commemorate the World Environment Day-2008 was held at Assam Bio Resource Centre, Madan Kamdev and Madan Kamdev High School, Baihata Chariali on 5th June, 2008.
6. "One Person One Tree" Programme launched with active collaboration of the Department of Forests, Govt. of Assam on 5 April, 2008.
7. Organised a Regional Level Orientation Workshop on Microorganisms: Let us observe and learn from June 12-14, 2008 at Department of Botany, Cotton College.
8. Understanding Planet Earth Master Resource Persons' Training Workshop was organised from 23-26 September, 2008 at Guwahati with technical collaboration of Vigyan Prasar, Noida and catalysed by RVPSP, DST, Govt. of India.
9. A two-day Workshop cum Orientation Programme on Audio-Science programmes – Astronomy from 13-14 November, 2008 at Guwahati.
