Cultivation of Orchids by setting up of Hi-Tech Orchidarium at ABRC

1. This is a one-year scheme supported Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of Assam implemented during 2009-2010 under Popularization of Science.
2. A Hi-Tech-the Orchidarium of 150 sq m has been constructed at Assam Bio-Resource Centre, Madan Kamdev
3. A training programme on Orchid Cultivation was organised involving school students.
4. Different species of orchids have been collected and introduced to the Orchidarium
