Improvement of infrastructure facilities of the Botanical Garden of Assam Bio-Resource Centre

1. This is a one-time project supported by Ministry of Environment and Forests, Govt. of india implemented during 2007-2008.
2. Prime objective of the scheme is for ex-situ conservation of rare, endangered and endemic species of plants by strengthening the existing infrastructural facilities of Assam Bio-Resource Centre.

4. Brick boundary wall: 800 m
5. Land Developed for tree plantation: 3 ha
6. WBM (Water Bond Mecadam) Road Work: 490 m
7. Concrete Pathway over flat brick soling: 332 m
8. Boulder Appron (Side Guard): 60 m
9. Culvert: 8 Nos
10. Mist Chamber of 100 sqm: 1 No.
11. Wooden Museum Racks: 3 Nos.
12. Irrigation facility: One open ring well, one over head tank, two water reservoirs, one 1.5 hp jet pump, and all other accessories
13. Herbarium cabinets: 12 Nos.
14. Field works: 125 live germplasms of plants species, 350 herbarium specimens were collected in 8 field trips.
15. Successfully completed the project in 2009.
