1. Audio-Visual media is an important tool for disseminating scientific concepts and happenings in an effective manner through the form of videos, CD-ROMs, audio software, etc. as of now, there is not much scientific audio-visual resources in Assamese and other state languages in Assam to disseminate development of science and technology amongst the students in an enjoyable manner. Two agencies under Department of Science & Technology, Government of India, viz. National Council of Science & Technology Communication (NCSTC) and Vigyan Prasar are doing commendable jobs in this regard through production of various forms of digital software for communicating science and technology primarily in English and Hindi. Through this scheme, some of the production of these agencies will be dubbed in local languages and replicated in large number for the benefit of the student community and common people at large. The digital format will be in the form of DVD and will be distributed to the Aryabhatta Science Centres (ASC) (a project initiated by the Department of Science & Technology, Government of Assam) in all the blocks of the state. In addition, TV sets and DVD Players will be provided to each ASCs so that the basic objective of science and technology communication gets fulfilled
2. Forty numbers of Science & Technology related films/ documentaries dubbed in Assamese in the form of seven sets of DVDs.
3. A CD entitled “Magic World of Chemistry : Part – I” , a production of Cotton College Chemical Society, Cotton College distributed to all the Aryabhatta Science Centres located in each block of the state.
4. Television sets provided to all the Aryabhatta Science Centres located in each block of the state.
