Establishment of S&T Library & Computer is for strengthening the existing Science & Technology Library of Assam Science Technology & Environment Council as a resource and data service to provide literature and information on various subjects pertaining to science & technology, remote sensing and environment.

A modern library of books and journals will enable the scientific and technical personals and planners of the Council to consult the same while preparing various schemes and programmes of the Council. The library also serves the members of various expert groups of all the Divisions of the Council. The students and faculty members of various educational and research institutions of the state are also benefited by the S&T Library.
